Under Prøve VM på Hamar 6. mars 2010 ble det avgitt positiv dopingprøve på hund fra en utenlandsk utøver. Urinprøven inneholdt de forbudte stoffene Karprofen og Dexametason Utøver er diskvalifisert fra konkurransen (Prøve VM og SOC) og medalje skal tilbakeleveres i henhold til artikkel 9 i Dopingregelverket.
Under Trial Championships in Hamar 6 March 2010 was given a positive doping sample of a dog from a foreign athlete. Urine sample contained the prohibited substances Karprofen and Dexamethason. The athlete is disqualified from the competition (Trial WCh and SOC) and the medal will be returned in accordance with Article 9 of the doping regulations.
“ARTICLE 9 AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION OF INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
A violation of these Anti-Doping Rules in Individual Sports in connection with an In-Competition test automatically leads to Disqualification of the result obtained in that Competition with all resulting consequences, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes.”
Comment to Article 9: When an Athlete wins a medal with a Prohibited Substance in his or her Dog(s) system(s), this is unfair to the other Athletes in that Competition regardless of whether the medallist was at fault in any way. Only an Athlete with “clean” Dogs should be allowed to benefit from his or her competitive results.
In relay events, disqualification or other disciplinary action against the relay team when one or more team members have committed an anti-doping rule violation shall be as provided in Article 11 (Consequences to Teams).of these Anti-doping Rules.
Ny resultatliste er utarbeidet. Dopingsaken er under behandling.
